SMC Chartered Surveyors are delighted to announce the letting of Milethorn Works, Milethorn Lane in Doncaster.

SMC acted on behalf of long standing clients, Togel Construction who are landlords of the 18,543 sq ft former vehicle depot set in a 1.2 acre secure site. A new 10 year lease has been secured with XDP Ltd.

Following the growth in demand for delivery services XDP required additional capacity and considered Milethorn Works in Doncaster the ideal location for their next depot. Milethorn Works is located approximately a mile north of Doncaster town centre in the Wheatley district of Doncaster. Doncaster provides a strategic location with good access to a wide geographic area including South Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, Humberside and West Yorkshire.

This industrial building in Doncaster attracted a wide range of tenant interest given the versatility of the 6 bays and clear span space. The letting deal took just under 12 months from instruction to completed lease.

XDP Ltd were formed in 1995 and have become the biggest privately owned logistics and parcel carrier business in the UK. XDP Ltd is headquartered in Curdworth, Staffordshire with a team of over 500 and an extensive network of depots across the UK. XDP provide a range of services including overnight deliveries, timed & Saturday deliveries, pallet delivery, pick & pack, storage, economy services and many more.
