SMC Chartered Surveyors have let several retail units at 18, 19, 20 Elwick Road in Ashford.
SMC acted jointly with Stephen James, representing the landlord London and County Investments Ltd. The properties are located in a area undergoing significant development with Elwick Place located directly opposite and Ashford town centre, Ashford International train station and Country Shopping Centre in close proximity.
Unit F has been let to Fireway pizza and have now been trading for just under a year. The corner unit is the largest of the available units within the parade offering 855 sq ft of space.
Unit E is now occupied by TK’s Fish and Chips who are expanding with another branch to add to TK’s Lydd location. This letting completed at a similar time to the letting to Fireway pizza.
Unit C has been let to a local Indian restaurant and takeaway operator. This unit is currently being fitted out and is due to open later in the year.
Unit A and B have been let as separate units to the same tenant. The tenant intends to open up a fried chicken shop and a beauty products shop. Fitting out works are due to commence shortly. #
These letting demonstrate in the right locations there is still strong demand from retail occupiers. Particularly from more nimble independent occupiers who were most able to react following the covid pandemic.
